The constantly evolving market brings life to the Long Branch neighborhood every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by packing a one-acre parking lot at 8809 Flower Avenue on the corner of Flower Avenue and Arliss Street (near Piney Branch Road) with an array of vendors that ranges from full-time entrepreneurs to local residents selling their personal treasures. People from all walks of life sell and shop here and everyone is welcome. Each weekend bristles with new discoveries to be made. Maybe one week you’re captivated by a hand-made chair from a bygone era, a 100-year-old piece of medical equipment, or a modern piece of jewelry crafted by a local artisan. The next week might grab you with rare books, art that stops you in your tracks, glass blown before your very eyes, wood-carved animals, hand-made clothing, autographs or the scent of the perfect perfume. You might even stumble upon a prized new addition to something you collect – or an item that sparks an interest in a whole new subject.
